WASHINGTON, D.C.\u2014 On January 2nd<\/sup>, a coalition of national security practitioners, retired military leaders, subject matter experts and other patriots held a second, two-hour \u201cSenate telethon\u201d offering compelling arguments as to why President Trump\u2019s nominee to be the next Secretary of Defense \u2013 combat veteran, author of\u00a0The War on Warriors\u00a0<\/em>and television host Pete Hegseth \u2013 should be confirmed\u00a0without delay<\/em>. His\u00a0nomination hearing<\/a>\u00a0before the Senate Armed Services Committee is scheduled for Tuesday, November 14th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n

In the course of a\u00a0program<\/a>\u00a0entitled,\u00a0\u201c<\/em><\/strong>Save America\u2019s Military Coalition Urges Senate to Confirm Pete Hegseth, Help Him Make America\u2019s Military Great Again,\u201d<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0sixteen\u00a0presenters and their moderator addressed: the various and escalating national security challenges currently facing the country \u2013 and other, ominous ones in prospect; the parlous condition of the U.S. armed forces to contend with, let alone defeat, those dangers; the damage done in intensifying the former and exacerbating the latter by the Obama and Biden administrations; the attendant need to rectify those legacies; and the qualities exhibited by Mr. Hegseth to date that make him a singularly apt choice to effect such changes.<\/p>\n
